Dear Peter, How are you? I’d like to share an interesting experience with you. During the Dragon Boat Festival this year, I learned how to make zongzi from my grandma. First, we prepared the ingredients and tools: rice, beans, dates, leaves, string, and a pot. We washed the rice and beans, then kept them in water for hours. Next, my grandma taught me to make a cone shape with the leaves. I put some rice, beans, and dates into the cone carefully. Then, I tied it tightly with string. Finally, we boiled the zongzi over low heat for a long time. I felt very happy and proud. It was a little difficult at first, but I succeeded. Making zongzi is a wonderful tradition.
